Formerly, in a vaguely chronological order, I have been a mechanic, ramp rat, airport bum, glider tow pilot, advertising banner tow pilot, skywriter, used-car salesman, used-airplane salesman, crop duster, cargo pilot, airline pilot, airshow pilot, a few things I can't talk about in this forum (you'll get the idea if you read Goat Rope), writer and literary student

I’ve written for more than ten years. Goat Rope was my first novel, published in 2001 by Writer's Showcase. It is available for purchase. Just click the Goat Rope tab. I've had several articles published in magazines, many political and sports rants published in various newspapers and several letters published in the vaunted New York Times.

My passions are road bicycling, hill climbing, the Scottish Highlands, single malt from the Isle of Islay, cask-brewed ale, big cities late at night, jazz, blues, rock, hip-hop, being on the road, being home, all-nighters, my dog, my wife, reading and writing.
